    design creates a bridge between artistic intention and compositional conclusion.

    design creates a bridge between artistic intention and compositional conclusion.
  4. In your own words, define the word "design"?
    a layout or plan to create something appealing to the eye.
  5. Why is composition important in graphic design?
    without a good composition you can make a great idea look bad. It's important to take into account all of factors that go into a great composition such as negative space, the flow of the image and of course the arrangement of where things are placed.
  6. What happens when a design is too unified?
    the image becomes boring because it lacks variety.
  7. What happens when a composition lacks unity?
    things won't go together at all. it would make it hard to understand
  8. How many different ways are there to create unity?
    6 methods. They are Grouping, Containment, Repetition, Proximity, Continuity, Closure
  9. How can one make compositions that are more memorable?
    Create closure in your design
  10. What does Gestalt psychology have to do with all of this?
    Artists and designers often combine all of the principles of Gestalt in a single composition.
